  • The future of Almedalen – can digitization make the venue more approachable?

HejDigitalt & PTS i samarbete med Openlab Other

Rarely is the Swedish authorities, formal and informal, so available as during Almedalsveckan. Almedalen should be open and inclusive, but not everyone has the same opportunities to participate – either as a participant or organizers. The competition for attention means that even those who can buy space find it difficult to get access to their audiences, the prices of accommodation and meeting facilities is a barrier for economically weaker players and content of discussions will not be available at all times o meetings outside the circle of those physically present. Visby, with its cobblestones and buildings is also difficult to access for persons with mobility impairment.
